Weekly Tip #5

Ola que pasa?¿ Yeah I wish I lived in Miami and could casually speak Spanish mid-sentence…

Well my week has been dramatic to say the least, to be honest this whole month has but this week was something special! All is under control now though!

For this weeks tip I pulled it from some things I noticed from my followers on Instagram. I got a lot of messages asking about my recent post of my Black Dress!

The Dress and the Shoes are from Missguided.Clutch is from Dune London.

So everyone wanted to know how to wear one? What to team it with and what I would recommend. Basically I have never been a fan of largely detailed black dresses. I prefer a more simple look, and off the shoulder dresses are kind of my thing! I always find the best way to choose a LBD is to go firstly with your body shape. I always go for bodycon dresses as they suit my figure best, I have wider hips so this shows them off cause I love them. When peplum was in fashion my whole wardrobe was filled with peplum dresses and skirts.

Since my dress was from Missguided and they are an international retailer I pulled some of my fav LBD’s to use for examples.

If you are a straight up and down babe! I would suggest you wear something with rouching, split leg as this gives the illusion of wider hips. And shows off your other assets…

For those girls who carry the weight around their stomach and bum I think its great to go for a more tailored look, this was you can accentuate what you want. Something that hugs your arms and shows of your legs but doesn’t cling to your stomach!

de900609_livia_02_10_15_wr_29272_aIf you are just so voluptuous its a lot to handle then go for something loose, free but still sexy, this dress is great as it will hide the areas your not to fond of but works your legs with the fringe detail.

The shoes and accessories depend on the style of the dress and the detail on it. I always go simple but gold. I love rose gold, or gold shoes, they complement black so much and add the glam your dress is missing. I don’t really wear jewelry so I always go for a nice clutch and eye catching shoes.

So to round off my tip is to choose a LBD that suits YOUR figure, and keep it simple. Accessories to a minimum and some statement shoes, and you will look amazing!

Can I just say thank you to all the comments I got on this dress and all the lovely messages, I really appreciate it!

Until next time…
